So it’s now hit December, and this is the first chance i’ve had to play a bit of football manager. Works just got in the way the past few weeks. I did however manage to start my pre-season in the beta version, though as i didnt get far in, i might aswell start fresh with the full version. So…………
Here We Go.
As always in football manager i performed an analysis of the team, with the conclusion i have two good strickers, (however my complete first squad has only these two strickers, no reserves), 3 strong defensive mids, and a great young AMC in Maier. This all led me to play a narrow 4-1-3-2, as this is optimising my strengths, however i am an amatuer at creating tactics, so i’ve decided to keep it simple and not edit the sliders atall.
My wonderkid Maier would normally play in the central MC position, but he is currently injured. I will delve into more detail of these tactics after i have played a few more games with them.
Pre-season
Not a long pre-season but the first league game is coming around quick. In general, i’m very happy with this, i know it was disapointing losing to my reserves, but i was to busy fiddling around with the tactics, so i consider this a void.
In all games we had created the more chances, with either more or simliar posession. We have also not conceded in open play, only from corners or set pieces, so this is an area i will address through the match preparation.
Training
After reading through a few of your articles about the best training methods for the new system, i have copied these hoping this will work for me like the rest of you. All areas of training are now atleast 3 Start due to the employment of new coaches, and the great facilities at the allianz arena.
Right, im going to cut this post off here as i am eager to play, and i will post again shortly.
Happy Blogging,
Mutley

The tactics looks decent, let’s see how they manage. Good idea to pass through the middle though given you have more players there.
